It was becoming very frustrating; we almost gave up, but then it was our great fortune to be referred to Selina by a listing agent who sensed our frustration. I can describe Selina with a single word: amazing! We immediately had a great feeling about her when we spoke with her. Rather than just starting to throw home listings at us, we spoke at length about what our must-haves and pain points were in a house, as well as a bidding range. True to her word, she sent us listings to review based on what we were looking for and was always available to look at the houses with us, which was great because my girlfriend does not have set work hours. Based on looking at the houses, she was able to start making adjustments to the houses she would present to us based on prior home tours. I mean, she really knocked it out of the park (Yes, I'm a huge baseball fan!). Once we successfully bid on a home, Selina was right with us, offering advice and being our advocate as we maneuvered through the process of securing financing. Finally, and I think this sets her apart from her peers, post-house purchase, she was able to help secure contractors/ handymen to help with minor repairs that were immediately needed on the house. We never felt abandoned once we closed on our home. During this process, my girlfriend and I never felt like we were dealing with a realtor who was more interested in doing a deal as opposed to finding us the right fit in a dream home. Dealing with Selina during this process felt like we were getting help from a friend who just happens to be a realtor. We can't say enough about Selina and what she did for us. Great Realtor? Yes! Selina is very familiar/well versed in the SF/bay area home market (she has lived/worked here for many years). She came recommended by a few friends of ours who worked with her to buy their places in the city before, and after we interviewed/toured with 3-4 other agents/companies (at Compass, Redfin, etc.), we went with her because she was the most dedicated, knowledgeable, and transparent. She hustles/works super hard (reachable day/night/weekend) to the point that we felt kind of guilty bugging her always. She is also very savvy from an investment/financial standpoint and shared some really useful insights for our house hunt, such as what kind of properties and features are good investments. She volunteers to send a curated list of properties you might like each week based on your preferences, but also was open to adding/incorporating places we found on our own online for touring/getting more info. In addition, she's very understanding and flexible - considering our specific needs (e.g., we needed a place with an EV charger, etc.) and working within our budget without pushing you to close a deal. She listened/supported us when we stood firm on 2 prior bids that we lost out on because we didn't feel they were worth more, and in the end it really paid off when we finally found our place, which we absolutely love, yet still got a fantastic deal on! What's more, Selina also helped refer a fantastic lender to us (we similarly talked to a ton of different lenders prior to that lol) as well as contractors/handymen for getting my old place fixed/ready for rental.
